Paul Flemming captured the 2000 Metro Major Curling League Championship with a 6-4 win over Robert Harris.
Flemming only scored in 2 ends, but that proved to be enough for the victory. The first score of three was a routine draw in the third end, while the second three was double raise double-takeout in the sixth end.
Harris closed the score to 6-4 with a single in the seventh and a steal of one in the eighth, but conceded before Flemming threw his last rock in the ninth.
Flemming, and his team of Mark Dacey, Blaine Iskiw, and Tom Fetterly, are competing in the
GMC World Curling Tour Player's Championship to be played in Winnipeg from March 14-19.
